In checking in with Starwood Hotels' plans for New York City this week, we've already learned that the W Court and Tuscany will no longer be a part of the brand starting tomorrow. Additionally, The W New York Downtown opening has been pushed back yet another month until June. And now we see that Sheraton Tribeca has been delayed again. This time until September 16.

The last we heard, the hotel was set for a June opening but now it looks like we'll have to wait until the summer is over. Which is actually, for once, totally ok with us. Do you know how many hotels are opening this spring and summer in New York? It's mind-boggling. Check them out here. So this might be a smart move by Sheraton.

But don't fret SPG members and Starwood lovers--The Sheraton Brooklyn is still set for a June 16 opening and Aloft Brooklyn is on for a July 1 opening. Well, at least for now.

Many Hotels Opening in NY

There are so many hotels opening that the late opening of one goes mostly unnoticed, unless you happened to have made a booking. The last time I was affected it was because they had to hook up some portable dehumidifiers in their basement, I think one was a Frigidaire FAD704TDP.

As long as they have no teething problems once they are up and running I don't see it as a problem.
