Trump Miami Wants to Give You Something For Free...Kind Of
“Free” and “Trump” aren’t words you hear in a sentence together too often, so perhaps we should savor saying them out loud. The occasion is the latest offer from the Trump International Beach Resort in Miami—where there is a new Free Fridays package on tap.
None of us are stupid enough to think that we can get anything free these days, so let’s cut to the chase—yes, Fridays at Trump Miami will be free for guests who book a room between March 6 and March 16. The catch? There’s a three-night minimum.
So, really, this is just like a “book two, get one free” promotion, which is hardly new in hotel land. It’s also worth remembering that this hotel isn’t in South Beach, but further north in Sunny Isles.
The deal is valid for stays through March 31st, making it good for Spring Breakers with Trumpian tastes. It’s available on the best available rate for all room categories, and includes a free breakfast each day at Neomi’s Grill.
We checked the rates for next weekend, March 19 through 22, and came up with an average daily rate of $361 a night for the entry-level bayview room. The online rezzie system gave us a total of $1085 plus taxes for our three-night stay, which didn’t sound right—until we noticed the disclaimer that the Free Fridays rate would be adjusted to $0.00 upon checkout.
