Here's what to expect from Drai's Hollywood:
A “Drai’s style” restaurant seating approximately 120 guests and featuring the flavors of Chef Claude Segal sits comfortably nestled between the indoor lounge area and the open air rooftop pool/patio area. Guests can choose to eat either under a roof or under the sky.
The pool patio resembles a penthouse roof garden, both sides boasting custom cabanas. On one side of the pool is a row of flat-topped cabanas that are lightly furnished with low couches and slender wood frames holding up light white privacy curtains. On the other side, raised up a few steps from the pool level, is a row of covered daybeds, fully appointed with Moroccan-style inlaid wooden tables and cabinets, stained wicker seats, comfortable red-cushioned couches, large mirrors and flat screen TVs all surround by heavier white drapes.
At the far end of the pool, situated up a flight of stairs above an outdoor poolside bar, is a set of four larger, very VIP cabanas that overlook the entire rooftop area from the most private of perches.
Fun fact: Not only is nightclub impresario Victor Drai the man behind the popular Drai's After House night club in Vegas along with Tryst and XS at Wynn/Encore, but he was also the producer of the Weekend at Bernies series.
In recent years, Drai has partnered with the Waits Twins, Jesse and Cy, who are pretty much nightclub kings in Vegas. Everything they touch turns to gold. And they are heavily involved in the Drai's Hollywood nightclub as well.
Given that this is Hollywood and a W Hotel (as opposed to Vegas and Bill's Gambling Hall and Saloon), we wouldn't expect anything less than this becoming the hottest nightclub in town. At least for a few months anyways. Want more on Victor Drai, his nightclub style and his heavy French accent? Watch this video here.
We'll have more on the opening of Drai's next week, including some legit photos so stay tuned!
