Another Place to Sit, Soak and Stare: The Banyan Tree Resort in Acapulco
We are suckers for a room with a killer view. We find that we are even more likely to forgive some minor hotel inconveniences if we can stare out the window at something pretty--yeah we are that shallow. Let's help out our fellow hotel mavens by uploading rooms with killer views to the HotelChatter/Flickr photo pool, or by sending the photo along to us. We will feature our favorites in this space from time to time. Remember to tell us the name of the hotel and the room number of the hot view.
We're very fortunate to not only have a dedicated group of tipsters who love hotels just as much as we did but we're also fortunate to have a group that travels to amazing places. These folks are our ears and eyes when we can't be somewhere...like the brand new Banyan Tree Cabo Marques Resort in Acapulco.
This is a view of the ocean from the bathtub, one of our favorite places to admire the view. Our reader, He Who Travels, tells us:
This one is built on the sides of cliffs, and the villas are all on stilts! Really breathtaking view of the ocean. It kind of reminds me of the Amalfi coast--but in Mexico! This one's like Mayakoba in the sense that you have basically your own self-contained villa, with a heated private outdoor pool. It's a small property though, only 45 villas in total.
We're absolutely loving this shot of the bathtub view but you can check out more killer views from the resort here. Want to experience it for yourself in person? Room rates start at $725 for a Valley View pool villa.
