We’ve already talked about how the old Yankee Clipper Beach Resort has had a makeover to become the fresh-faced Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel, but today we’re taking a closer look at one of our favorite topics: Hotel Carpets. See how modern and geometric and nautical this carpet in the Sheraton’s Beach Tower hallway is?

Now, let’s zoom in. That’s right, not only is it blue like the sea, but it has fish like the sea, too!

While this isn’t near as offensive as the carpet at the Boca Raton Resort and Club we showed you earlier this week, we’re not sure we can slot this one into our Non-Fugly Hotel Carpets Files. It seems a little childish, no?

This hotel is extremely kid-friendly, so the choice makes some kind of sense, even if it is a tad literal for our tastes.

But the best part of this hallway? It leads to the beach.
