If you were bummed that you didn't get a chance to stay at the Versace Mansion when it was operating as Casa Casuarina, here's your second chance. (Or third, if you turned down an invitation to visit Gianni way back when.)

After being rescued from a Bernie Madoff-like mess in December, the mansion has now reopened as The Villa By Barton G., which is composed of a hotel, restaurant, event space, and, well, Barton G. himself running it all.

Apparently the restaurant—The Dining Room at The Villa By Barton G.—has been hoppin' since it opened on March 4, and as for the hotel… well, if you thought The Setai or the W South Beach was expensive, try to imagine the kinds of guests that are shacking up here.

Yes, rates at "the G" start at $2,100 a night. This two-grand-and-change will snag you one of 10 suites, served by a "private British-trained butler", Frette sheets and towels, Kindles at your disposal, and nightly nibbles as turndown treats.

Real high-rollers will want to spring for The Villa Suite, which used to be Versace's bedroom. It has a nine-foot double King bed and seven closets.

I was just browsing the Tennessee reverse mortgage website when I found your superb article here. 2100$? Unfortunately I do not have that kind of money, but hope that one day will have that sum to spend on such luxury.
