Who is the Inspiration for the Bisexual Hotelier from 'How to Make It in America'?

We're slowly getting into the new HBO show, "How to Make it in America", a sort of "Entourage" for the NYC set but instead of movies, the business is well, trying to make business whether it be Rasta Monster energy drinks, or a high-end denim line called, Crisp.

But if you're a hotel geek, then you're probably wondering the same thing we're wondering on this fine Monday morning--who is the inspiration for Rachel's hotelier boyfriend, Darren Hall?

His character bio is appallingly short (he "knows what he wants and he usually gets it") but here's what we've deduced so far:

· He looks a bit like Andre Balazs-ish with dark hair, good looks and opened shirts paired with blazers.
· He's rich enough to have his own chauffeur.
· He has meetings overseas in London.
· He likes to act "down" with his construction workers by indulging their card tricks (hey, is this the real reason why NYC hotels get delayed so often?)
· He takes ecstasy on a "school night" and makes out with a dude on the dance floor in front of Rachel! ZOMG!

Quite scandalous but we're guessing this hotelier dude is not really modeled after one hotelier in particular but rather, he's a combination of a few hotelier's worst personality defects. Next week it looks like he may reveal that he's bisexual but we hope they go a little further into his hotel projects. After all, hoteliers love to project their own personalities on their hotel guests--for better or, often times, for worse.

Which hotelier do you think Darren Hall is based on? Put your thoughts in comments below!
