Of course, unlike the Jane Ballroom, Vue was in a bit of an odd spot—Fourth Avenue-dwellers are pushing it when they say they live in Park Slope. It’s a wide, often-deserted industrial road still waiting for the promises of rejuvenation to bear fruit.
According to the Brooklyn Paper, even Hotel Le Bleu’s management weren’t fans of Vue.
“They wanted to operate a nightclub rather than a lounge,” said Tim Anctil, the general manager of the hotel. “Their parties started at 10 and ended at four—not conducive to a hotel that charges $300 a night.”
The building’s landlord says a classy Italian restaurant will move into the rooftop space in the next couple of weeks.
Don’t tell the Jersey Shore kids!
