Eventi Has a New Website. Will the Real Thing Open on May 14th?
We’re used to yo-yoing hotel opening dates, but rarely do they move forward from what we expect. With its brand spankin’ new website, however, The Eventi seems to have done just that. Our last guesstimation was for a June 1st opening, but today we found availability on May 14, and this is also the date mentioned in the fine print for their opening rate special.
The official line from the Kimpton PR folks is “spring,” but we’re going to be optimistic and call it May 14 until we hear otherwise.
There’s still some confusion over when the restaurant will open, however. The new website says both “Coming in Summer 2010” and “Opening October 2010.” For this one, we’ll err on the side of caution and say don’t get your hopes for the “authentic Basque cuisine” until the air starts to get crisp.
The good news is that even though we may have to wait until fall for the restaurant and “food parc”, they will be accompanied by a specialty whiskey bar.
The Eventi Preview Rate starts at $223 a night and must be booked by April 30.
