Ritz-Carlton at LA Live to Open Next Month Instead of Next Week

You will have to wait just a little bit longer for this hotel room.

We've been mightily impressed with the new JW Marriott at LA Live, particularly with that free WiFi in the lobby, but we've also been looking ahead to the day when it's "better half" would open--The Ritz-Carlton at LA Live.

The initial opening date was to be March 15 but looking on the hotel's website today we see that reservations are now being accepted for stays from April 1 and beyond. But they might be just fooling. When we tried to plug in April 1 for a two night stay, there was no availability at the hotel.

So we checked in with the hotel's rep to see what they had to say. According to them, the hotel will open in early April with opening festivities to happen in mid-April. No word on the starting room rates yet but we expect them to be "ritzier" than the J.W. Marriott where we found rooms for $179 on April 1.
