The Dorchester. Playboy. Not two words you’d normally associate together, but all this is about to change.

Not that the Dorchester Collection is saucing up its image – it’s merely being inclusive as it branches out. Turns out that the site for its next London hotel, 45 Park Lane, is what used to be the London outpost of the Playboy Club.

45 Park Lane will, surprisingly, be located at 45 Park Lane, just next door to the Dorchester, in the direction of the Hilton. According to the website, it’ll have 46 rooms, all with views of Hyde Park (nice) and will be “more contemporary in style” than the Dorchester, with “an intimate club-like feel”. Posh! And if the vibe is anything like the pic that’s on the website at the moment, we like it a lot. Diggin' those Francis Bacony paintings!

It’s down to open “late 2010”, and though there’s no word on rates yet, we’re guessing they’ll be pretty high. Wonder whether it’ll be as prone to psycho celebs as its sister? Here’s hoping.
