D.C. Hotels to Make the Most of 'Snowmageddon'

Apparently, there was a blizzard or something in DC over the weekend? We wouldn't know because we were kicking it in mild temps in Las Vegas. Jealous?
Trash talk aside, it looks like DC is bound to get another dumping of snow today which could mean that DC residents will have to hunker down inside yet again. But there might be a way out thanks to some area hotels.
At The Dupont Hotel, it's Bar Dupont will open their “Ice Bar” once again for the storm. The hotel is just steps away from Dupont Circle where some 5,000 Washingtonians participated in a mass snowball fight (above) and the Bar Dupont's outdoor, full-service Ice Bar was ready and waiting to serve the thirsty snowballers. It will be open again from noon to sunset tomorrow, February 10 and this time they will be grilling up Bratwurst and Cervelat Sausage. For more information call the hotel at 202-483-6000.
Meanwhile, the swank Jefferson Hotel is open tonight and they are offering Deluxe Rooms for only $195 a night. (Normally, rates are closer to $400 a night.) This sure beats strapping on your snowsuit to shovel the drive or trying to avoid spilling hot chocolate on your brand-new Snuggie as you get up to turn on the heat. Call the hotel at (202) 448-2300 to book. (Note: the restaurant is closed but The Quill Bar will remain open, which is far more important anyways.)
UPDATE: Kimpton Hotels in the DC area are offering a special snow rate starting at $99 a night. Use code SNW when booking. For a list of Kimpton Hotels in the area, go here.
Thanks to Katie and Brie for the tips!
