Hmm. Remember how way back last summer, W Hotels announced that their flagship London location would be opening June 1 2010?

Well, we haven’t heard anything from them recently. But the website is making us a little doubtful that this will come to pass.

Although it says “hotel opens Summer 2010”, it also says “taking reservations Oct 1 2010”. Um, Starwood – sorry to point this out, but October is not summer in England. By any means. What are you playing at?

Rates for opening night start at £259, or £304 including “taxes and charges”. $473. Wow. For that price, perhaps they’re transforming the place into a palace. That would, at least, explain the delay, no?
