The Catalina Hotel Sides with Coors Light for the Super Bowl

The game itself may take place up in Davie, but South Beach is becoming quite the Super Bowl battleground. Hours after learning that The Surfcomber Hotel was re-naming itself The Bud Light Hotel, we discovered that The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club was fighting back on behalf of Coors Light.
As the official beer sponsor of the Super Bowl, Coors couldn’t let Bud Light get away with all the attention on this block of Collins Avenue, so they started wrapping the exterior of The Catalina with Coors signs. This was how it looked when work began yesterday, and more signs were going up last night.
Tonight the Coors-fest continues at the hotel, with a Coors Light Pub Crawl and Coors Light Bus serving free beer between 7–9 p.m. On Sunday, the big game will play on multiple big-screen TVs across the property, with plenty of beer and food specials on tap.
What's next? Will the Raleigh become the Miller Lite Hotel? The Delano the Michelob Ultra?
