Inside, all was 21st century sleek-chic. The lobby was piled high with trolleys of “Lost and Found” baggage, the brand’s new luggage line, amidst chairs and stools in cream felt, shaped like animals. In the bar, chair-backs are “dressed” with miniature Cheap & Chic gowns. The rooms echo the fun and fantasy of the Moschino legend, and are called “Alice in Wonderland”, “Red Riding Hood” and “The Enchanted Forest.”
Inside the tent, guests sipped champagne and nibbled on canapés as models, representing ‘hotel guests’, sauntered through the crowd, in tongue-in-cheek ensembles in checked tweed and colourful wools, Chanel or Hermes-style, which referenced the cultural phenomenon known as shopping, and the modern lust for labels.
Although the Maison Moschino's website has room rates starting from 270 Euro, DesignHotels has a lower 255 Euro opening rate for the hotel, but you must book it on or before March 3 and it's valid for stays through August 31.
One more interesting bitif you haven't lost yourself in the photo gallery above alreadyis that the runway show fashions represented the range of girls who would be staying at the hotel. We looked through the Style.com gallery of the show, and we're having fun trying to decide which one would be us. We're thinking this one or this one. Which one are you?
