The Four Seasons Chicago wants you to fall down the rabbit hole and attend its Mad Afternoon Tea Party on March 6.

To celebrate the premiere of the new Alice in Wonderland starring Johnny Depp, the tea will serve Wonderland-inspired pastries, including colorful iced sugar cookies cut out in shapes of hearts, crowns, spades and crowns. There also will be cupcakes topped with whimsical floral designs and meringue mushrooms as well as chocolate petit fours with a pink sugar-glazed hearts. Of course, there will be the traditional finger sandwiches and scones to round out teatime.

The goodies aren't the only things to get an Alice-themed makeover. The hotel will transform the space into a curiouser and curiouser Wonderland with whimsical topiaries and table decorations incorporating top hats, the Cheshire Cat, mirrors, the clock and cards.

The lobby will host post-tea games and crafts. Grab a pink flamingo mallet for Red Queen’s Croquet, play royal chess with two-foot-tall pieces or decorate a tea cup with the help of If An Elephant Can Paint, a paint-your-own pottery studio. Decks of cards will be available in case you want to play a game or two. And don't worry, the fun isn't only for kids; adults can take part in the activities, too.

Tea service costs $32 and $15 for your little Alice; the price includes the games and crafts. To reserve your spot, call 312-649-2349.
