To up the stakes, the losing general manager will have his own humiliating task. If Indianapolis scores a win, Royal Orleans General Manager Steve Ferran will parade around the French Quarter in Colts gear while cheering for his nemesis. Same deal applies if New Orleans takes the game; Severin General Manager Phil Ray will don Saints garb and take the walk around Monument Circle.
The losing guests who end up paying for their rooms aren't left out of the wager. If you end up staying in the losing city, the Omni will serve up the winning city's cuisine throughout the week following the big game. An Indianapolis victory means New Orleans guests receive complimentary Just Pop In! gourmet popcorn, an Indy specialty. And if New Orleans pulls off a win, Indianapolis guests will eat traditional Crescent City king cake for free.
Unfortunately, both hotels don't have any more Go Indy, Go Big Easy rooms left. But the Severin has other rooms available, starting at $159, and the Royal Orleans' remaining rooms start at $219, both of which are Web-only rates.
