Oscars time is right around the corner, and if you're dying to see whether Meryl will beat out Sandra for best actress or whether Avatar will sweep all the categories, watch the show in style. This week, we'll look at Academy-sanctioned hotel shindigs where you'll be able to dress up, see if you won the office Oscar pool and help raise cash for charity.

For this year's Oscars, you'll have the chance to eat food from a star. Well, a culinary star. The Omphoy Ocean Resort's Academy Awards viewing party offers an option to dine at Michelle Bernstein’s, the newest restaurant from the James Beard Award-winning chef.

Bernstein, a Miami native, is known for her Latin-inflected global cuisine. In addition, the popular chef's remembered for beating out Bobby Flay in Iron Chef America. The party will feature a five-course meal in her restaurant.

There'll also be a cocktail reception where you can watch the red-carpet action on 10-foot TV screens, nibble on hors d'oeuvres and get a drink at the cash bar. Attendees are encouraged dress as their favorite celebs.

Aside from allowing you to see whether James Cameron or his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow will nab best director, the party serves as a kick-off for the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Proceeds from the event will go toward the group.

For $250, you'll get into the cocktail reception and have dinner at Michelle Bernstein’s. There's an option to skip the meal and just hang at the cocktail party, which costs $125. But you're here for the dinner.

If you get a food coma from gorging at the multi-course dinner, rooms at the hotel start at $413 for the night.
