Ever since it opened last month, Lords South Beach has been getting a fair bit of big-name press, from the New York Times to this new piece in Time. Most of it, though, zeroes in on the hotel's positioning as a gay hotel. Or, as Time puts it, 'Not just gay-friendly' but 'ultra gay.'

Us? We just want to know what it looks like.

We've seen the beachy-bright yellow rooms--now here's the first photography of the hotel's lobby. You like?

As with the rest of the property, the design was intended to be fun, spirited and playful, using bold colors and custom graphics. Mission accomplished, wouldn't you say?

Lords South Beach opened right before Art Basel blew through town, and it looks like the hotel survived--thrived, even--in the hothouse party atmosphere that was last week. Even though it was the newest venue on the scene, it had the chance to strut its stuff during a number of post-Basel parties.

Now, Lords is ready for 'the season'. Rooms over Christmas weekend start at just $144.50 a night.
