Budget business travel brand City Inn have now re-branded themselves as Mint Hotels in preparation for their newest London hotel. Mint Hotels...sounds fresh?

The first Mint Hotel will be located at the Tower of London and is set to open on December 20. Yay! Just in time for Christmas. The hotel will have 583 rooms, a complimentary video library, free WiFi and yes, the iMacs in the rooms will remain. But it’s the suites we're liking the sound of.

The Thames suites have views over the River Thames and the Tower of London, a living room, dining area, separate bedroom and bathroom. But there is only two of these in the entire hotel, so you’ll need to book well in advance to bag one.

The hotel will also feature a signature SkyLounge with views of the Tower as well as meeting and private dining rooms, extensive roof gardens and seating areas lined with herbs for Al Fresco dining.

Bookings are being taken online now for December onwards with rooms rates from £160 (about $250.) Once the new London hotel is up and running the group are expanding overseas for the first time with a 553 room hotel in Amsterdam opening Spring 2011.

Mint Hotel currently has six properties in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.
