Hmm...What is Hotel Tonight?

Just yesterday we were busy deleting acquaintances with incessant political status updates finding long-lost camp friends friends on Facebook when we noticed a targeted ad in the right column of our feed for something called Hotel Tonight.

We remember getting a tip about this new site last month but we inadvertently cleared it out of our inboxes before we could further check it out (D'oh!)

So we skipped on over to the Hotel Tonight website to see what else we could find. The answer? Not much. The site promises to be live in late 2010 and from what we remember from our tipster, it will be a new way to book hotel rooms, possibly from your mobile phones. Indeed, Hotel Tonight promises "Booking a hotel will never be the same. Coming late 2010 to NY, SF and LA."

Currently, Hotels Tonight is going around soliciting hotels for their participation in this new booking method and we're eager to see what they will put forth. Hopefully, it will be way more exciting than the reservations functions on the iPhone apps that hotels put out.
