The room reaction begins from the second we set foot in the elevator. Hello, stripes! And then there is the black-and-white striped carpeting with red and purple walls; guests better not mind funky colors, and this is Missoni after all. Luckily, we're all about vibrancy, and were thrilled to find that the room is as packed with Missoni clashing patterns and colors as they advertise on their website. One could make a game of "count-as-many-Missoni-labels-as-possible." Even the toilet paper has a pressed flower pattern.
Best of all, her stay only cost $130 a night on Orbitz which is far less than a Missoni sweater. Heck, you may not even be able to get a Missoni scarf for that cheap.
Later in the year, another HotelChatter contributor, Eric Rosen also stopped in a Hotel Missoni and had a nice long chat with the hotel doorman about his kilt. Watch that video here!
Our only issue with the Hotel Missoni is that it's in such a random location for a fashion hotel. The next planned locations in Kuwait and Turkey has us stumped as well. Milan, anyone? Paris? New York? Let's hope 2011 brings a Missoni closer to you and us both.
