Catch The Last of Art Basel Revelry On Sunday, When Rooms Rates Drop

You can stay at the Mondrian...on Sunday.

It's Day 3 of the Art Basel Miami Beach Week of Crazy so please don't ask us to recount all the parties at hotels and who's been buying which pieces of art. What we can tell you is that it's not too late to get your Basel on.

Most of the A-listers and big names may clear out by the weekend, but there are still events happening and on Sunday night you can get a room at one of the hot hotels--at a much cheaper rate.

Le Baron, the pop-up version of the French nightclub at the Delano's Florida Room is still on Sunday night, from 11 p.m. til late--and perhaps at the tail-end of the week regular peeps will have more luck at the door. Rooms at the Delano start at $420 on Sunday.

At sister hotel, The Shore Club, where Ben Stiller has been shacked up this week, there are a few events on Sunday: Primary Flight + Sundaze keep the party going at Skybar, Redroom and the pool, while the Kehinde Wiley Fish Fry with chef Sam Talbot starts at 7 p.m. at the Beach House. Rooms at Shore Club drop to $285 on Sunday night.

Speaking of Sam Talbot, he's hosting a preview dinner of Imperial No. 9, his restaurant opening at Mondrian New York in February, at Mondrian South Beach tomorrow night. The hotel is sold out and you'll need an invite for the poolside dinner, but rooms open up on Sunday from $250. (And maybe Talbot will still be hanging out at the hotel and you can snag some scoop about the new resto.)

The Royal, the new restaurant at The Raleigh has been bringing buzz back to the once-hot hotel this week--we hear former owner Andre Balazs even dropped by to check out his old stomping ground. If you want to see what all the Royal fuss is about, there are rooms at The Raleigh for $575 on Saturday night--and a much more reasonable $275 on Sunday night.

Last but not least, the W South Beach has been sold out for Basel, and the site of many a hot dinner and party at Wall--but you can get a room on Sunday night for $459 and will still be able to check out Terence Koh's sculptures which are displayed on the grounds and throughout the hotel. You can also hit the hotel lawn to see The Arts Fund Expo curated by White Walls Gallery, San Francisco--it features work by artists such as LEBO and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Somehow, we expect Monday to be a very quiet day on South Beach. Happy Basel!
