Bryant Park to Get Another New Hotel, The Graves Charney

New York probably doesn't need any new hotels but like it or not, we're gonna get 'em in 2011. The latest one to catch our eye is the Graves Charney from Graves Hospitality, they of the Graves 601 in Minneapolis.
The Graves Hospitality website has no details on it but according to this TCB Mag article from February 2009, the hotel will open in Bryant Park and will be targeted for corportate and fashion-industry travelers:
“It’s a stone’s throw, literally 150 feet, from the new Bank of America headquarters on 42nd Street,” Graves says. “It’s right across the street from the world headquarters of Verizon. We’re right in the fashion district—all the high-end fashion companies have offices literally within 150 to 200 feet of this building.”
We're still not sure of the exact location but the hotel will add some more competition for the Andaz and Bryant Park hotels nearby. And no, we don't have an opening date.
Meanwhile, we noticed Graves Hospitality also has plans for a Hotel Indigo Brooklyn and a Graves Williamsburg Hotel and Residences, also in Brooklyn. Both are listed as 2010 but it appears the Hotel Indigo has run into problems with the neighbors while the Williamsburg project is now on tap for the spring. Of course, we'll keep an eye on those for next year.
