Executive Chef Frank Brunacci will whip up a five-course tasting menu with dishes corresponding to the route of the famed Orient Express. Diners will be able to travel through Istanbul, Budapest, Vienna, Paris and more through the capitals' cuisines. Of course, wine pairings will also be offered. You can upgrade to the first-class Pullman Car VIP window booth, which gives you a view of the Navy Pier fireworks at midnight.
The Toast to the New Year package, which includes the dinner and overnight accommodations, starts at $850 per couple. The Journey to the New Year gets all of the above plus brunch at Sixteen the next day, starting at $1,100 per couple. It ain't cheap, but the five-course meal and wine pairings alone costs $325. Both packages come with a bottle of bubbly for some post-meal celebrating in your room.
