The Beach House Maldives, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is on our wish list for next year, and not just because we want to try out the Haa Alifu Atoll hotel. The pristine beaches are obviously a draw, but we're lusting over its luxe private seaplane service that takes you from Male International Airport directly to the hotel.

You are jetted off in a sleek-looking black, white and gray DeHavilland Twin Otter seaplane. It's pimped out with leather seats, iPads for in-flight entertainment, binoculars and Bose noise-canceling headphones.

This is all sounding especially good right now, since we're stuck riding in a middle-row seat in a packed-to-the-wings plane. But even before you board the plane for the 75-minute ride, you'll get pampered. Pre-flight, seaplane passengers get to hang in a private airport lounge, where they get massages and refreshments.

Of course, this kinda service will cost you. The round-trip seaplane transfer is $650 for adults, $325 for children 2-11 and free for infants are complimentary.

Manafaru

If you happen to visit this island then you must be one of the luckiest man on earth. This is one of the top resorts in the Maldives and I would say there cannot be any better resort any where in the world. You may find a different resort, but cannot be any better.
