Asellina Opens At Gansevoort Park Ave On Saturday

It's a little chilly to be hanging out by the pool at Plunge now, so it's a good thing that Gansevoort Park Avenue is adding the final touches to its Italian restaurant Asellina. The sleek but cozy looking space opens at the hotel this Saturday.
According to Zagat Buzz, the menu will include dishes like chestnut flower tagliatelle with sausage ragu and wild fennel. But ever since we learned that the restaurant was named after a madame from Pompeii, we've been craving a big plate of Spaghetti alla puttanesca, and really hope the Asellina people (those also behind STK and The Collective), and chef Marco Porceddu, will come through for us on this.
If you can't wait until the weekend to hit up Gansevoort Park for a little bite to eat, pop on over there today to check out the Lacoste Store and you can snag a free Schnitzel. The hotel is celebrating the opening of the boutique with a gourmet food truck handing out goodies today from 12-5 p.m.--and again on December 9 and 18.
People who drop $150 more at Lacoste will also receive a free copy of the new South Beach Wine & Food Cookbook.
Don't forget--if you're one of the first diners at Asellina this weekend or early next week, we expect full reports and dish on the inevitable Kardashian sightings. Tell us all the scoop in comments below.
