The building designed by architect, Arias Serna Saravia stands 70 stories tall--you didn't expect Trump to make a tiny splash in Panama, now, did you?--and is meant to evoke a "majestic sail deployed in the wind. In other words, it's sure to generate as much arch-geek-iture buzz and derision as Trump Soho did in NYC.
The hotel is expected to become a big draw for business meeting planners, with tons of event space and top-notch tech to cater to the suits. But it's the pools, spa and shops that has our interest piqued.
The hotel will have two pools with private cabanas, two floors of designer boutiques right inside the hotel, and a 10,000-square-foot Spa at Trump--where guests can select an experience to Calm, Balance, Purify, Heal or Revitalize.
Now, Trump may not be the first name we think of when we hear the words "pure" and "calm," but after checking out the renderings of Trump Panama, we're open to giving it a shot. Who wants to invite us to their Latin American conference in 2011, mmmh?
