YES, it actually gets cold enough in Los Angeles to call for The Standard-Hollywood and The Standard-Downtown LA to throw some woolen Pendleton blanket on their guestroom beds and YES of course they are selling them to anyone who wants to take home the artist-created designs themselves.

The two blankets were officially released into the Standard Shop just before Thanksgiving, and indeed they could be ideal gifts for the person in your life that obsesses over staying at one of Andre Balazs' hotels.

Ringing in at $280 for the queen-size and $340 for the king-sized, these aren't your regular hotel throws. Each is made at the Pendleton mills in Oregon, and part of a limited edition of 40 for each style. The orange and grey design pictured in the room above was designed by Chris Johanson for the Standard-Downtown LA, while the black and baby blue one comes from the mind of artist Geoff McFetridge, for the Standard-Hollywood.

For those who think the idea is cool, but aren't (literally) cool enough to order one up for their own home, the blankets are now standard fare (ha) at the LA hotels for which they were designed. All you have to do is pay just about the same amount of owning one to stay in a room with one for the night. Your pick!
