Now You Can Wear the St. Regis Around Your Neck

Move over W. St. Regis Hotels are stepping out of the shadows of its sister hotel brand at Starwood Hotels in a big way.

The luxury hotel brand recently celebrated the opening of its 21st hotel, St. Regis Bahia Bahia Resort in Puerto Rico which opened November 4 and which was quickly followed by the 22nd hotel opening at the St. Regis Lhasa Resort in China on Monday. (Not to mention, the St. Regis Osaka in Japan opened last month.)

But despite all the new hotels, the St. Regis is not one to ditch its long history of luxury. Fortunately, instead of just waxing on and on about their history, you can actually get something out of it.

Currently, the hotel brand is offering special Legacy Rates for guests who book two consecutive nights in select suites at St. Regis Hotels. You have to pay the full rate of the suite for the first night but the second night is just $4, the price of a suite at the flagship St. Regis New York when it opened in 1904.

Yet if you want the St. Regis experience to last a little longer than just a few nights, you may be interested in their jewelry line, The St. Regis Collection by Alexis Bittar. Inspired by the brand's founder, Caroline Astor, who ruled New York's "Gilded Age", the jewels feature a modern twist on Mrs. Astor's own jewelry collection.

Bittar's reinterpretations include a brooch, earrings and a necklace. Starting next month, The St. Regis Collection will be available for purchase at Alexis Bittar stores as well as on his website, www.alexisbittar.com. So what do you think--earrings or a suite? We'll take either so long as you're paying.
