It's Wine All the Time at Kimpton and Loews This Holiday Season

November 16, 2010 at 2:38 PM | by | Comments (0)

Let's pop the Kimpton Bubbly! Kimpton Hotels are getting into the holiday spirit with their own sparkling wine, Kimpton Cuvée, a custom Blanc de Noirs created by a collection of Kimpton sommeliers in partnership with Gloria Ferrer Caves.

It is a pale pink blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which demonstrates fruit flavors of strawberries and black cherries with lively, lush bubbles and a crisp, delicate finish.

Kimpton Cuvée is currently available by the glass or bottle at the 54 Kimpton restaurants and lounges nationwide. And some Kimpton hotel restaurants are even offering a "Fries & a Flute" special to celebrate the wine's debut. Here are some of the restaurants participating and what they are offering:

· Hotel Palomar DC: crispy fried oysters, braised rainbow chard and caviar aioli, $19, at Urbana
· Hotel Monaco Seattle: sweet potato fries served with three dipping sauces, $10, at Sazerac
· Sir Francis Drake, San Francisco: frito misto with white prawns, calamari padron peppers fennel cherry cayenne aioli, $25, Scala’s Bistro
(These deals are good through November 30)

Meanwhile if you've got a wine question, Loews Hotels wants to help you out this holiday season. If you go to the Loews Hotels' Wine Line on Facebook (under the Wines tab), four of Loews' 15 certified sommeliers will be on hand to answer any of your wine questions and within 24 hours too! The wine tip line is open now through Jan. 1 so try not to forget to utilize it in your chardonnay haze.
