While the spacious, apartment-sized, colorful and affordable rooms are the main attractions, guests also get VIP access to the SBE Collection in Los Angeles since both the hotel and SBE are owned by Sam Nazarian.
SBE spots include José Andrés' Bazaar restaurant at the SLS Hotel, Michael Mina's XIV restaurant, the Hyde and Colony nightclubs, the Katsuya sushi spots (where you are practically guaranteed a celeb sighting with your spicy tuna roll) and even the casual beachside restaurant, Gladstone's, out in Malibu.
Of course, if you're not keen on walking very far in your sky-high Louboutins, you can always dine downstairs at Cleo instead. The Mediterranean restaurant from Executive Chef Daniel Elmaleh serves lunch, dinner and late-night fare from noon to midnight daily. It was also listed as "Buzzworthy" in the recent issue of Us magazine, if that sort of stuff matters to you. You can even get 24-hour room service if you want the party to stay in your room.
To us, the SBE access seems like a brilliant service--guests can stay at a hotel with plenty of nightlife options, and get priority treatment too, without having to deal with all the nightclub noise. And you know how much we hate that.
