But if you really want to splurge, you may as well book one of the hotel's nine Personality Suites which are named after famous guests like Marlene Dietrich, Charlie Chaplin, Katherine Hepburn, Winston Churchill, Maria Callas and Frank Sinatra. Those suites will cost you upwards of £2,000 a night, yet there's still a way to get a "suite" deal the Savoy.
The hotel is offering The Savoy Suite Introduction which gives guests who book an Edwardian one-bedroom suite a second night for just 1 GBP, the rate for a suite when The Savoy first opened in 1889. We found a suite rate for £1650 for two nights on October 12 which, with taxes, works out to be about £969 a night.
Considering that an Edwardian suite goes for £1250 a night, this is nice little deal...if you had £2,000 laying around of course.
We'll be keeping close watch on the exciting opening festivities this weekend but if you're in Londontown on Sunday, let us know how the Savoy looks!
