Rates at the Encore start around $200 a night depending on whether you stay during the week or on the weekend (weekends are more expensive.) The rooms do tack on a $20 daily resort fee which includes fitness and internet access. Unless you are staying on a corporate rate then the gym and internet are a la carte.

Why Can't More Hotels Put Outlets in the Nightstand Lamps?
Last week we griped a bit about the music coming from the outdoor nightclub at Encore Las Vegas but the truth is, these are still some of our favorite rooms in Las Vegas. Aside from being spacious and luxe and for the most part, clean (this is Vegas after all, we have to leave a little room for the dirty factor), we also love the simple technology found in the rooms--like this outlet at the base of the nighstand lamp.
No more searching under desks or behind the nightstands or worse, unplugging a floor lamp just to charge your cellphone. The Encore knows exactly what we need. We also found their bedside control panel to be easy to operate. While it's not as comprehensive as the ones we've seen over at Aria, they are so fuss-free, any luddite can work 'em.
Push a button and the privacy light by your room door alerts housekeeping to "do not disturb." Push another button and all the lights turn off. Push it again and the lights come back on. Now if only we could push a button to mute the music from that nightclub below.
