More changes are underway at Hilton Hotels! The hotel collection has just announced a global spa concept called eforea: spa at Hilton. Eforea, huh? That sure does sound different. Here's what it's all about:

In an increasingly fast-paced and sometimes stressful world, today’s business and leisure travelers are looking for ways to attain a calmer, more spiritual place; the word eforea was created to describe that place. The eforea brand promise is to bring balance and wellness to the body and take guests on a transformative journey of the senses, helping them to emerge brighter, hence the brand’s signature icon -- a butterfly freed from its cocoon.

Efore you start booking, you should know the spa concept will not be rolled out

Cutting through all that spa-speak, just know that the eforea spa concept offers guests three "journeys" which they can take--an Essentials journey anchored by an advanced, non-invasive Signature Correcting Facial; an Escape with organic products, holistic experiences and traditional healing practices such as the Hilton Head-to-Toe revitalization treatment and lastly, a Men's Journey, made for men and featuring a variety of treatments form facials to massages.

The eforea spas will also feature Vichy spa showers, several age-management treatments, and top spa products like Kerstin Florian, LI'TYA, an organic line and VitaMen, made especially for men.

But it's not only you who will look good at eforea, the spa concept prides itself on its carefully thought out designs from the spa's Arrival Lounge with design lighting that brightens as guest walk from treatment rooms to the Changing Lounge with both dry and wet changing pods and grooming units to the Transition Lounge where you can relax for a littl longer before heading back out into the harsh real world. And of course, don't forget the retail area where you can buy the Kerstin Florian, LI'TYA and VitaMen products.

The first eforea: spa at Hilton is actually debuting today at the Hilton Short Hills in New Jersey, about 45 minutes outside of NYC (and right near where we grew up!) The opening celebration is going to include a fashion show from Boho, an eco-fashion line and an appearance from celebrity "Housewife" Bethenny Frankel in conjunction with the American Cancer Society.

Following this opening, eforea is scheduled to be rolled out worldwide from Japan to Australia, United Arab Emriates and the Maldives. The spa concept will also be present inside some Doubletree and Embassy Suites hotels as well.

We love that Hilton is finally getting a global spa concept, and a seemingly carefully curated one at that, but the name eforea doesn't quite roll off our tongue. Hopefully, the experiences, er excuse us, journeys will make up for that name awkwardness.

name

What an idiotic name.  Why do companies feel it necessary to make up their own words?  Couldn't they have picked some random, soothing name from Webster's?  Also, their first spa is in the Hilton at Short Hills???  Short Hills is a bastion of relaxation and just what I think of when wanting a massage.
