If you're in NYC for Halloween but haven't been invited to Heidi Klum's famous party, hotel festivities may be your answer. At the Empire Hotel near Lincoln Center, the holiday will be marked in the best possible way: with booze.

Halloween cocktails being served at the hotel include the Jack O’ Lantern, pictured above, which contains Jack Daniels, orange bitters, absinthe and sugar cubes. Other creepy cocktails include a Pumpkin Tini, Black Widow (Frangelico, sugar cane, steamed milk), Skeletons in Your Closet (Gin, lemon, simple syrup, lingonberries and prosecco) and The Witching Hour (Sobieski Vanilla, Crème de cacao White, Baileys, Kahlua and simple syrup).

There's even a drink inspired by True Blood, the Liquid V. It's made with Bacardi, blood orange puree, bitters, honey syrup and cracked pepper.

Downtown, at 60 Thompson, guests can celebrate Halloween from brunch to bedtime, with a day's worth of spooky-themed festivities. (The hotel is also conveniently located a block away from the start location of the Halloween parade.)

Sunday, October 31 kicks off with a Halloween Costume Party Brunch at Kittichai--it includes unlimited brunch cocktails and extended brunch hours from 12 noon–4 p.m. for $25 per person.

From there, guests can move on to Thom Bar for the Havana Happy Hour from 4–8 p.m. Beers are $5 and cocktails such as Mojitos, Cuba Libres and Blood Orange Cosmopolitans are just $8.

Then, at 9 p.m. Thom Bar is also the spot for the One Night At The Tropicana Havana Halloween Costume Party. Grupo Irék will play live Cuban music, and DJ Wanda Acosta will spin salsa and Latin soul.

Rooms are available at 60 Thompson on the 31st from $299 a night.
