B Ocean Fort Lauderdale Will Open On December 15

As we said last month, W Hotels better "B" careful, because another letter is out to stake its claim in the alphabet hotel branding game--and soon. The first of the B Hotels--B Ocean Fort Lauderdale is opening on the corner of Sunrise and A1A on December 15.

So far, we love that they'll be offering Free WiFi, and who could complain about those ocean views? This room looks simply designed yet comfortable--all you really need in a beachfront hotel. But as we try to learn more about the new hotel by checking out its website, all we could think was: could this marketing concept B any more annoying?

Lest you think it's just us, here's a sampling: the restaurant is called B'stro, if you want to book the Penthouse you can B on Top--but to get there, you'll want to take the express elevator from the lobby. Y'know, the B Express.

The spa is where you can B Indulged; the fitness center, where you can B Active; and for excursions around Fort Lauderdale, you'll want to be B Adventurous.

We wish we were kidding.

All that said, though, we're excited to see what the B experience is all aBout. (Ha.) It's in one hell of a location, and, hey, did we mention they'll offer free WiFi?

The hotel is promising ocean views from each suite and room, some of which have floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the Atlantic.

Starting rates will range from $129 to $499 per night.
