The St John Hotel in London Now Opening on December 1
While London's hotel scene is hot, hot, hot, we can't forget that hotel delays are still bound to happen.
Take for instance, The St John Hotel which was supposed to open in October but which has announced pushed back to December 1. Oh well, better late than never, we guess.
The hotel website blames the delay on the building which “had to be completely rebuilt”. The main focus of the hotel will be the 70 seat restaurant, open until 2am. Famous for its “nose to tail” dining the hotel will provide a ‘table to bed’ experience removing the need for a taxi home. Like going to a dinner party, getting too drunk to go leave and staying in the guest room. Not that we’d know anything about that!
There are three types of rooms at the hotel--the normal rooms, the post-supper rooms and for those with the cash--the suites. White wood paneling features throughout and all rooms have complimentary WiFi and LCD TV. Those on the shy side may want to shell out for a suite rather than pee in the open bathrooms, although at nearly double the price we’ll risk the embarrassment!
If your budget allows the hotel is also available for exclusive use.
The cheapest rate we could find on the website was £235 with rooms still available on the opening night. Let's hope that opening date sticks...
