On Expedia, things don't look much better. Hotel Park City has rooms open but for $882 a night. The Park City Resort and Spa by Westgate has a 1 bedroom condo open for the more "affordable" rate of $549 a night and that comes with free parking. And as predicted the new Waldorf-Astoria resort, The Dakota Mountain Lodge is milking the Sundance crowd with $899 a night rates. (Update: The Dakota tells us they have rooms available for about $449 a night. Call the hotel directly or visit www.waldorfastoriacollection.com to book.)
Scurrying over to Craigslist, we found rooms for sale at the Marriott for $350 a night for two queen beds. (Interestingly, this is about $150 less than last year.)
And then there is something crazier like $2,000 for a week at the Park City by Westgate for a two-bedroom resort room that can sleep 10 people. So grab the nearest fameballs you know and go in on this together! But as usual, be careful with Craigslist.
Anyone have any more reasonable options for Park City and the Sundance Film Festival? Help our reader out with your suggestions in comments below.
