Considering shacking up at the W Hoboken soon on a trip to the NYC-area? While we have no issues with the hotel itself (it's a new W on the waterfront), we feel you should be aware about what's going on there on January 29--The 'Find Your Luvah' speed dating event which aims to be the largest speed dating event in Guinness World Records history.
But not only that, girls at the event will be given free samples of a new lip plumping lip gloss called, Luvah, that's plumped with aphrodisiacs. Oh boy. From Hoboken411:
The ultra chic W Hoboken Hotel, located on the Hudson Riverfront facing midtown Manhattan, is gearing up for the event by preparing its Great Room to accommodate hundreds of speed daters looking for love in all the right places.
For added convenience to those traveling from New York City and from throughout New Jersey, W Hoboken has commissioned Acura to chauffeur participants back and forth to the Hoboken PATH Station throughout the evening.
And, as a congratulatory tribute to any matches made that evening, W Hoboken will invite the lucky-in-love pairs back for a round of complimentary cocktails.
Hmph. Just a round of cocktails for any luvahs that make it last? We think a guest room should be more appropriate.
If you're into attending the event and want to get to the next step after meeting someone at a speed dating event, rooms that night are going for $170 for a cozy king bed and $209 for a wonderful room with a king bed and views of the NYC skyline. You never know when those lip-plumping aphrodisiacs might kick in.
