Last we heard, Hotel Palomar Chicago was set to open a few weeks before May 1. It looks like the Kimpton hotel has decided on an official date, announcing on its website that it's taking reservations for April 24 with packages as cheap as $89 a night.

The River North hotel is offering several packages, the most wallet-friendly one being the $89.00 and a Bottle of Wine deal, which gets you a room with a king-sized bed, a bottle of red or white, and daily coffee or tea service.

If you're arriving in your ride, opt for the Parking and More from $104 package, which includes a king-sized bed, daily coffee or tea service and free overnight valet parking for the aforementioned price.

To celebrate the hotel's opening, Hotel Palomar also will throw in a complimentary bottle of vino. To cap the rhyming package names, the hotel has the So Much More for $134. With it, you'll receive all the best of both packages—a bottle of red or white, valet parking—as well as a full breakfast for two.

All packages are available through March 31 and as of this posting, all of them were available for opening day. Of course, the hotel will offer typical Kimpton amenities, such as free WiFi for InTouch guest loyalty program members (be sure to sign up for free if you need to get online) and "Forgot It? We've Got It!" travel essentials. If you reserve one of the crimson, steel blue and tan rooms, you can expect 37-inch HD LCD flat-screen televisions, floor-to-ceiling windows and L'Occitane spa-inspired toiletries.
