Kimpton Hotels' Seattle properties will come to the rescue of its neighbors to the north whose city will be inundated with tourists coming to see the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Hotel Vintage Park, the Alexis Hotel and Hotel Monaco will offer an Escape the Olympics package to aid those in need of a getaway from the craziness.

In honor of the 2010 Games, the three Seattle hotels will offer a 20.10 percent discount to all Canucks. According to a Kimpton official, the company knows that since hotel rooms are at a premium, residents are renting out their homes and going on vacation—especially since schools in Vancouver are closed for the Olympics—so Kimpton is giving them a place to go.

The package is available from February 1 to March 1 on the best available room rate. To get the deal, Canadians can log onto www.kimptonhotels.com and put "OLY" under the rate code. But you'll have to flash proof of Canadian residency when you arrive at your hotel.

Feel free to bring FiFi or Fido, since Kimpton allows pets to check in with you for free. And if you decide to make the drive, all hybrid vehicles get discounted parking.
