Other Cities Make a Play for Super Bowl Hotel Action

Sure, most of the hotel booking action is going on in Miami and Fort Lauderdale for Super Bowl weekend, but they’re not the only cities looking to score from the big game. Packages and parties in New Orleans are starting to shape up—and we presume in Indy as well, although we haven’t heard of many yet.

The New Orleans Marriott comes bursting out of the huddle (ha ha) with its Saints Finish Strong package. Other than South Florida we can’t think of a better place to watch the Super Bowl, but for anyone who needs a bit of arm twisting, the Marriott is happy to oblige.

The package includes (a minimum) two nights’ accommodation, two Saints hats and a game-day snack pack—a Saints cooler, four chilled Abita beers and a big packet of Zapp’s Who Dat? Chips. Guests can catch the game at the 55 Fahrenheit bar, on a 9 x 12-foot big-screen TV. Rates start at $179 a night, and the promo code is SPE.

Meanwhile, in the Orlando area, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has a special deal for residents of both teams’ home states.

Their I’m Off to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort promotion gives Louisiana and Indiana residents a free night when booking two nights between February 7 and 11. Then, if your team wins the Super Bowl, you get to enjoy the buy-two-get-one offer at the resort for the rest of the year. (Although you have to book by February 28.) The code to use for this one is SDBOWL.
