The Sky Lodge's Bar To Star As Another Bar at Sundance this Sunday

Imagine this room is gold, and that the guy at the bar is Orlando Bloom.

So, Sundance started today. If you’re a movie buff, stalker, fashion publicist, or a member of the paparazzi, you probably knew that. If you don’t happen to be au fait with the Sundance tradition of screenings, glam ski gear, swag, and parties, let us fill you in: it’s all pretence. Even the parties are playing make believe this year. Case in point, Sunday night’s “Funday” party at Park City’s Sky Lodge.

In its non-Hollywood life, the bar at the top of the Sky Lodge is The Sky Club. But with a star-studded lineup of people who are paid to play dress-ups coming along on Sunday, The Sky Club will do likewise and transform into a new persona: GoldBar.

Yes, the plain ol’ Sky Club will be decked out in gold to resemble the NYC “hot-spot” GoldBar, where everything is—surprise!—gold. Right down to the honey-themed cocktails.

Keira Knightly, Joan Jett, Kristen Stewart, Orlando Bloom and Dakota Fanning are said to be attending the bash, being held in honor of director Gaspar Noé’s film, “Enter The Void.” Presumably they’ll love the gold surroundings because it will make them feel like they’re living inside their very own bar-sized Oscar statuette.

It’s an invitation-only event and the property is sold out on Sunday night, but if you’re in Park City and want in, we’re sure you can figure out a way between now and Sunday.

We think this is called acting.
