Does The Beverly Hilton Hotel Have Fugly Carpeting?

Amidst all the glittering stars last night that crammed into the Beverly Hills Hilton for the Golden Globes Awards last night, we couldn't help but notice the carpeting in the International Ballroom which looked to be imprinted with big blue stars with pointy edges, almost like they came out of Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Not cute.
Ok, you might accuse us of being too picky here but if this ballroom is going to be on camera every year for the GG awards then let's go with a more muted rug pattern. After all, the Beverly Hilton's ballroom holds quite a lot of history for the Hollywood elite.
The creator of "Mad Men", Matthew Weiner, joked onstage about being in this room for a bar mitvah when he was younger and Best Actor winner, Jeff Bridges, spoke about dancing in this room with his mother when he was also younger.
So if this ballroom is that impressionable, let's choose a new rug pattern. A black-grey is nice. Also, feel free to peruse the options in our Non-Fugly Hotel Carpeting gallery. As well as rug patterns to avoid.
