I don't fit into any of those categories.. how about young, hip, single, and broke! :)

St.Lucia

check out a newly opened resort called Calabash Cove  Resort a wonderful little five star boutique hideaway conceived and designed by veteran Austrian hotelier Robert Buchsbaum.Once you get passed the bumpy road you will be totally blown away by its amazing location which can only be described the Gate to Heaven, simply darling mahogany ocean front villas all with private pools, outdoor rain showers and hammocks beckon romance and utter tranquility so pure that you are tempted to add something,I suggest you leave it alone and let it all just wrap itself around you. A super super french restaurant and some amazing colourful gardens all overlooking the bluest Caribbean Sea may tempt you never to leave.Look it up you'll love it www.calabashcove.com

for frugaltexan...

you might want to consider an all-inclusive in the DR. They are usually cheap and great for singles.

great

this is awesome

Jade Mountain

Jade Mountain is a most unusual sanctuary experience. The rooms are magnificent with open views to ocean and infinity pools in each room. Beach is quiet, but coral reefs nearby provide excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities. You can be as active or you wish or do nothing for your entire stay. The staff are friendly and meet your every need. When you return from dinner every night, candles are lit in your room - this and many other details make it a truly romantic get-away.
