'Sex and The City' Filming Outside The Plaza Hotel Today

Yes, Sex and The City fervor has swept up New York City once again and much like the first SATC movie, we've learned hotels will play a part in the show. While The Bryant Park Hotel got love from the four ladies the last go-around, The Plaza, which re-opened in February 2008 after a lengthy renovations process, will make an appearance this time. And we're happy to say the legendary hotel's cameo will take us back to the Plaza's glory days.

A hotel rep emailed us this tidbit:

Sex and the City 2 has been filming outside The Plaza Hotel yesterday, September 8th and will continue today. The ladies snapped a number of photographs outside the legendary hotel yesterday afternoon. Today filming will continue with the ladies transported back in time to the 1980s-should be very fun to watch!

The 80s! We love it. That was when we first got a taste of The Plaza, although we were too busy tracing the steps of Eloise to notice the women in poofy dresses with sky-high shoulder pads and Wall Street Men in power suits milling about.

Yet even though much has now changed inside The Plaza, during our stay there in June we did fall in love with it all over again. Just in a different sort of way.
