Fans of Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch can send off the crab fishermen aboard the Sea Star at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle on Sept. 13 as the crew prepares to set sail for the Bering Sea off of Alaska’s coast to shoot the show's sixth season.

The Sea Star became famous in 2004 after the Discovery Channel aired the documentary America’s Deadliest Season, starring Capt. Larry Hendricks and his crew. The doc was so successful—more than 100 million viewers worldwide tuned in—that a spin-off reality TV series was created following some crab boats during the fall and winter on the Bering Sea. The Emmy-winning show seems to have a cult following.

But it won't only be fanboys and girls in attendance at the Deadliest Catch Home Port Send-Off, as the confirmed guest list includes Capt. Hendricks, Deckboss Kenny Hendricks, Deckhand Don Huggins, Sea Star (pilot and Chase Boat, seasons 1-5); Capt. Greg Moncrief, Farwest Leader (season 3); Capt. Sten Skaar, Deckboss John Skaar, Deckhand Travis Arket, North American (season 4); Capt. Eric Nyhammer and Deckhand Matt Sullivan, Rollo (season 2); Deckhands Travis Lofland and Crosby LeVeen, Wizard (seasons 3-4); and Deckboss Edgar Hansen and Deckhand Matt Bradley, Northwestern (pilot and seasons 1-5).

Of course, the food for such an event, taking place at The Edgewater's Olympic Ballroom overlooking Elliott Bay, has to be all about crabs. The special menu from Executive Chef Jordan Mackey will feature king crab caught by the boats featured on the show. The crustacean-heavy menu includes crab risotto, crab cakes and chilled crab.

You'll also be able to see the Sea Star, which will be moored just outside of The Edgewater’s ballroom, near Pier 67. The event starts at 5 p.m. and tickets cost $100, which includes a reception and the crab-themed feast.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Fisherman’s Memorial fund. Reservations are required and can be made on The Edgewater's website by using the promotional code "kingcrab" or by calling (800) 624-0670.
