The Jane Hotel Has Opened Its Captain's Cabins (With Private Bathrooms!)

Love The Jane Hotel in NYC with its maritime history, Darjeeling Limited feel and its mysterious ballroom/lounge/bar? Don't love the idea of spending a night in a micro-room and sharing a bathroom down the hall with strangers? Worry no more. The Jane has finally opened up it's Captain's Cabins with private bathrooms.
Rooms are still on the small side, ranging from 150-250sq.ft. but they feature queen and king-sized beds (larger rooms will have the kings) as well as free wireless internet, telephones with voice mail, flat-screen TVs, DVD players and iPod docks. And did we mention they have private bathrooms?
Since there are only three of the Captain's Cabins that are actually finished, booking one of these rooms is going to be a bit difficult. However, we did find a Captain's Cabin open on September 14th for $250 a night, which is the rack rate for these rooms. The hotel hopes to have 40 of the Captain's Cabins completed but that will be further down the line since the hotel is still in the process of renovate the building room by room.
Still, spending a night at the Jane is now way less awkward.
