Guests Behaving Badly Teams Up With Booking Site Down Under

Where: Australia

You might remember a couple of years back when we let you know about the Australian Guests Behaving Badly database. It's a website where member hotels can report anti-social and destructive hotel guests and share their names with other hotels so they can avoid having the kind of guests that no hotel really wants.

Guests Behaving Badly has now gone one step further and has announced a partnership with the Ubid4rooms website, an Australian hotel bidding site a bit similar to Priceline.

When prospective guests bid for a room on Ubid4rooms, the Guests Behaving Badly database will kick in and compare the guest details to those on its database. Apparently if it finds a match it will then alert hotel operators (rather than reject the booking outright), so we can only assume it's then up to the hotel to decide whether they want the potential room-trasher or mini-bar thief to stay or not.

We'd kind of been wondering whether the rather quiet Guests Behaving Badly site had signed up many hotels or not over the past couple of years, but getting Ubid4rooms into the action might make them a bit more prominent. As far as we know, we're not on the Guests Behaving Badly list in Australia, but we'll be sure to let you know if we get rejected on a Ubid room any time soon.
